Training Voyages on the Simulator
20.03.2025
The safe navigation of a waterway is the top priority for both recreational and professional boaters.
Aim
A training course designed to help you take responsibility for your crew and safely operate your vessel.
Description
(Scheduling for 2024 and 2025 is arranged individually in coordination with the customer. Once the minimum number of participants is reached, the respective training date will be set.)
A practical training approach is the foundation of a skilled boat operator. Even those navigating recreational boats on waterways must consider numerous factors, including traffic regulations and the constant presence of other vessels. Our specialized training concept for uncommon scenarios is already an integral part of professional inland navigation, ensuring a safe and relaxed experience on the water.
Night navigation or operating in reduced visibility conditions is rarely part of a recreational boater’s routine. While night trips can be planned in advance, poor visibility due to weather conditions is often unpredictable. The lack of routine or frequent vessel operation means that many recreational boaters have limited practical experience in handling such challenges.
No boat operator wants to face an emergency on board. But how should one react, for example, in the event of a steering or engine failure? Decisions in an emergency must be made quickly and effectively. That is why even experienced professional mariners train on simulators. Simulated emergency situations can be practiced safely and risk-free, without danger to people, equipment, or other vessels. Proper preparation for unforeseen scenarios not only reduces stress but also significantly minimizes the risk of accidents or damage.
With our in-house simulator, we offer essential training modules for the safe operation of inland waterways. Our training helps bridge the gap in practical experience, preparing recreational boaters for unexpected challenges they may encounter during their trips.
In short: Within a short time frame, a sudden and completely unexpected “emergency” can be safely managed using a preventive training approach, eliminating risk to people and equipment. Experienced professionals from inland navigation guide participants through emergency response training, helping them develop the skills needed to handle critical situations.
