Description
The chances of making a career as a crew member in inland navigation, even as a career changer, are very good due to the demand for skilled workers. It does not matter whether you are taking on a new professional challenge in freight or passenger shipping or in ferry operations.
Once the decision has been made to change careers, a targeted further training course is the right choice to enable you to combine your previous professional experience with your new responsibilities as a crew member as quickly as possible.
The nine-month further training programme helps to reduce the existing demand for skilled workers. At the same time, it offers people interesting career prospects in inland navigation. For inland navigation companies, it offers the advantage of being able to qualify people from another profession as crew members within a manageable time frame, thus ensuring the rotation of the fleet. The right mix of ‘old hands’ and motivated newcomers who are passionate about operational and personal success brings a positive dynamic to the team.
