Passenger Shipping Safety Expert – Basic Course

Aim

After successfully passing the final examination, you will receive a Certificate of Specialised Knowledge for Passenger Shipping from the German Waterways and Shipping Administration, valid for five years. This qualification enables you to undertake important safety responsibilities on board your vessel.

Description

The Inland Navigation Personnel Regulation (BinSchPersV) and the Rhine Navigation Personnel Regulation (RheinSchPersV) govern the training of safety personnel on board passenger vessels. Under these regulations, passenger vessels must have designated safety personnel on board with different responsibilities whenever passengers are present.

We offer a high degree of flexibility in scheduling courses, whether before, during or after the season. We also provide training directly at our customers’ premises. Our characteristic emphasis on practical training helps career changers and/or existing crew members better understand the learning content specific to inland navigation.

No examination fees are charged for the initial examination conducted immediately after the course.
