Radar License (Special Authorization) – Compact Course
01.12.2025 – 03.12.2025
Preparation for written examination
Aim
As a holder of the special authorization for radar (formerly Radar Certificate), you are able to supplement your duties as a boatmaster with qualified and authorized radar navigation. This enables you to positively impact your company’s operational success by meeting loading or unloading schedules, making you a reliable partner for logistics planning.
Description
Anyone wishing to conduct a radar-assisted voyage must hold a certificate of qualification for the waterway in question and the special authorization for radar (formerly Radar Certificate), or another radar certificate recognized by the CCNR. If a boatmaster lacks this essential qualification, they are not permitted to continue navigation in poor visibility. This may result in missed loading or unloading appointments.
