Radar Certificate (Special Authorization for Radar) – Combined Course
01.12.2025 – 04.12.2025
Theory and Practice
Aim
As the holder of the Special Authorization for Radar (formerly Radar Certificate), you are qualified to supplement your role as vessel master with authorized radar navigation. This enables you to positively impact the economic success of your company by adhering to loading and unloading schedules, thereby remaining a reliable partner for planning and logistics within the Swiss Rhine Port (Schweizerischer Rheinhafen, SRH).
Description
Anyone wishing to conduct a radar-assisted voyage must, in addition to the required navigation license for the intended route, also hold the Special Authorization for Radar or another radar certificate recognized by the CCNR. If the vessel master lacks this essential qualification, they are not permitted to continue the voyage in conditions of restricted visibility. As a result, agreed loading and unloading schedules may be jeopardized during adverse weather conditions.
